Three friends leave Hong Kong in search of fortune, freedom, and a better life. What they find instead is war.
Released in 1990, Bullet in the Head stands as one of Woo’s most powerful and uncompromising films, an explosive and emotionally devastating tale of brotherhood, betrayal and survival set against the chaos of the Vietnam War. Often regarded as one of the defining works of heroic bloodshed cinema, the film remains as raw and unforgettable today as ever.
Alongside the main feature, we’ll also be screening the awesome action-horror hybrid ‘The Spirit Hunters by Mikko Löppönen (), plus a specially curated reel of trailers and film ephemera celebrating the era’s explosive action cinema.
As an added bonus for the night, all attendees will also be entered into a free raffle with a chance to win a film-related prize.
