THIS WEEK AT ALDER 🍿🎧🌞🎷

We always have banging deals on Tuesdays for certain peeps!

This Tuesday is 's Secret Cinema. Book in for free via the link in our bio to reveal the secret and get some drinks deals from the bar. 🎥🍿
Starts 8pm, doors at 7:30.

On Wednesday, our usual quiz returns with scampy flavoured prizes.... 😋

Thursday is our wild card this week. We've got live electronica, from bands Eyes Down Bingo Masters - emotive synths, catchy beats, quirky storytelling - and Low Jeopardy - where no two gigs are the same, spontaneous and creative. Guest vocalist Eleanor Hooper and pretty from the Buddhist punk. 🎧🔮
Doors 7pm, starts at 8.

On Friday and Saturday, we're open as normal but with no public events.

And finally on Sunday, aka Sheffield University Big Band for a day in the sun. These semi-professional jazz musicians are multi award winning and the best of Sheffield uni. 🎺🎷🪊

Classic Wednesday quiz with prices TBA, dm us to book

Thursday we have calling the numbers for our bingo night! DM us to book, and bring cash on the day!

Friday we are open to the public as normal

Saturday we have some free live soul music for you from 8pm

Sunday is our regular folk night that sells out each month! Tickets are in our bio if you ever wish to buy in advance

We'd had and loved Kasteel Rouge 🌹 for a while - a bold Belgium beer in a tangy cherry flavour, and now we proudly present Kasteel Tropical 🌼 (pineapple and passion fruit) and Kasteel Rubius 🌷 (raspberry).

THESE ARE SO GOOD.

I don't know what else I can say to be honest.... Except watch out for their 8% abv!

Morning,

This Saturday I’ll be heading out on a Neepsend & Hillsborough pub tour with Dave Pickersgill from Sheffield & District CAMRA 🍻

We’ll be meeting at Infirmary Road tram stop at 11:45am before setting off on a guided crawl taking in 13 pubs across Neepsend and Hillsborough — a great mix of historic locals, well-loved community boozers and newer craft-focused spots.

I’m really looking forward to hearing plenty of Sheffield pub history from Dave along the way and enjoying some excellent beer. It should be a cracking afternoon.

If anyone fancies joining, you’re more than welcome — and if I’m planning to pop in and visit you along the route, I’d really appreciate a share of this post!
