Page Hall Festival is a two-day online celebration of Page Hall, its people and their stories and experiences. We are inviting anyone connected to and from the area to send videos, photos, artwork, and even TikTok's so that people feel inspired by their collective talents of their friends and neighbours and to flip the narrative to show the rest of the city what makes this place special.

The aim of the activity is to encourage people of all ages to get crafty with bunting! By following the step by step workshop you can learn how to create bunting.

Bunting has a rich history of decorating the streets, walls and windows with colour and festivity. Any materials such as: craft, knitting, embroidery or even household items etc., are welcome to help decorate/create your bunting for Page Hall Festival. The key factor though, is to consider your own individual cultural upbringing and identity and create patterns to reflect who you are as a person or culture. These patterns can then be used to decorate the bunting for display and perhaps even inspire or educate people about who you are. Photographs or images of the bunting can be uploaded to the Page Hall website for others to see, you can also put your bunting up on your window, looking out into the street during the festival for passersby to enjoy!

Henna is rich and wonderful plant that has a shared history with cultures from around the world, and even though you may have come into contact with it at one point or other, very little is ever shared about the history of henna whilst in use. So, please, join me (the host of this workshop) as I do my own henna on screen and share with you some facts about the varied uses and history of henna from around the world. No matter what level your experience is with henna there is room for everyone to explore and experience this art form.

Some of the meanings discussed in the film:
