Join us for our second 5 kilometre dash along the beach of beautiful Sandown Bay on the Isle of Wight, with the occasional splash
around the some of the beach groynes. The run starts at the old Shanklin pier head, and dashes along the beach, under Sandown pier, to finish at Yaverland opposite the Yacht Club. There are 43 groynes in total to negotiate along the 5 kilometre run, most of which are a straight run through large gaps in the structures. The remainder 14 will be splashed around which at low tide will be mostly ankle deep water. Two groynes will be knee deep for a short distance which should cool you off!
