SILENT AUCTION AT THE FETE!

⭐️Lot 1
A box for the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday September 12th 2026. Eight tickets, bids of £500 and over accepted for pairs of seats.
⭐️Lot 2
A private Dinner Party for up to twelve guests with Sunday Times best selling author Stuart Tootal, who will talk over dinner about his latest book, Arnhem’s Last Para. Each guest will receive a complimentary signed copy of the book before the dinner. Three courses, with wine.
Wounded in action, decorated for gallantry and captured at Tobruk in 1942, John Humphreys taught himself fluent Italian to escape from a Prisoner of War camp in Germany. Volunteering for the Paras on his return to England, he then jumped into Arnhem in 1944, where he was again decorated for gallantry, captured and then escaped once more from a POW camp in Germany.
Before his death aged 102 in March 2024, the last surviving veteran actually to fight at the infamous bridge, he spent a year working with Stuart Tootal, himself a highly decorated former Commander of 3 Para, to preserve his remarkable World War 2 story in Arnhem’s Last Para.
Twelve tickets, bids for pairs of tickets with a reserve of £100 per pair.
