REGISTRATION for the 2026 3 Peaks Cyclo-cross opens tomorrow (Monday 1st June) and the race for a place on the start line begins.

The 62nd edition of this legendary event returns on Sunday 27th September, with entries closing at 23:59 on Sunday 14th June — don’t miss your chance to be part of one of the most iconic races in the cycling calendar.

What’s new for 2026?
Updated age category: Minimum age now aligns with British Cycling — from 1 September in the year of your 16th birthday
Equipment regulations:
Maximum tyre width: 38mm (as marked)
No suspension of any kind permitted

The 62nd Three Peaks Cyclo-cross is maintaining an entry fee of £90.00 for competitors aged over 23 years old.

To encourage younger competitors aged under 18 and 23, the entry fee for these categories will be £50.00.

The reduced entry fee is made possible by the support of Ride for Charlie and other event sponsors. We thank Nick and Sarah Craig for their valued support.

Sad news I stumbled across shared by Lindsey Roads Club in the last 24hrs.

A message from Brian Mann 🧡🤍

It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that former member, Harry Bond, passed away on 4th March from a severe stroke, in the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital. Harry and his wife, Ann, moved from their hometown of Bradford to North Somercotes when he retired. He became a member of the Lindsey Roads and rode with the “Tesco” group on a regular basis. His claim to fame was that he won the 3 Peaks cycle race 4 times in the 1960s, and competed for GB in international cyclo-cross events. He was a great character, and after having to have a replacement hip after an accident at Covenham crossroads a few years ago, he rode from Morecombe to his home in one go. He will be missed by those who knew him. RIP Harry. 😢

We’re pleased to announce that registration for the 62nd 3 Peaks Cyclo-cross will soon be open.

Entries for this year’s event, taking place on Sunday 27th September, will OPEN on Monday 1st June and will remain available until 23:59 on Sunday 14th June.
As in previous years, SI Entries will be used to manage the registration process.

Once the entry window closes, a selection process will follow.

The 3 Peaks Cyclo-cross is made possible thanks to the exceptional support of the local community, the farming community, and the landowners across the Yorkshire Dales. In recognition of this partnership — and to protect the landscape — the event is limited to 400 competitors.

3 Peaks Cyclo-cross Catch Up

62nd 3 Peaks Cyclo-cross - Sunday 27th September

Plans for the 62nd 3 Peaks Cyclo-cross are gathering pace, and I’m aiming to open the SiEntries portal on 1st June.

Despite rising event delivery costs, I’m pleased to say that, thanks to our loyal supporters, entry fees will remain the same.
We’ll also be offering reduced entry fees for all under-23 riders.

The race will continue to support a number of brilliant local charities and community organisations, including Horton in Ribblesdale Parish Church – St Oswald’s, Horton in Ribblesdale Parish Council, Horton in Ribblesdale Playing Field, Austwick Primary School, Kirkby Malham Primary School, Ingleborough Scouts, Otley Parish Scouts, Settle Harriers, Yorkshire Subterranean Society, Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team (BPMRT), and Rideforcharlie.

There are also some important updates to the race regulations for 2026.
The minimum age will now be from 1 September in the year of a rider’s 16th birthday, bringing age categories in line with British Cycling.
There are also equipment changes: tyre width must not exceed 38mm as marked on the tyre, and suspension of any form is now prohibited.

I know these changes will spark plenty of discussion, and I look forward to following the debate. Full details can be found here:

Superb ride by Jenson Young, our current 3 Peaks Cyclo-cross Champion, in the The Gralloch , part of the World Gravel Series.

Jenson was not alone, the epic gravel race attracted numerous 3 Peaks competitors.
