Wee reminder about the Mostroopers Pleasure Ride and the Gymkhana this Sunday. 🐴🐴

The gymkhana and pleasure ride will take place on Sunday 28 September 2025, at Hawick Mair as follows. All are welcome.

Our Hawick neighbours in Hawick are holding their rescheduled Mostroopers Junior Gymkhana in the morning of 28th September - free entry 💙💛

Afternoon, they have planned a Fun Ride.

Entries are now open for the Lauder Mini Gymkhana on 16th September in the grounds of Thirlestane Castle, Lauder. This is a fun and friendly event ideal for the younger rider.

General Rules    1.  Rider's Age to be taken from 16th September 2025. Each competitor may take part in one age group only.  2.  When mounted, correctly fitting hard hats must be worn. Body protectors are recommended.  3.  The Lauder Gymkhana Committee do not accept any liability for accident...

Selkirk Ex-Standard Bearers Charity Ride is taking place on 6th September 2025 over the Yarrow Valley. If you are interested in coming along, please contact Peter Forrest

Royal Burgh of Selkirk Ex-Standard Bearers Charity Ride
Date: Saturday 6th September
Start Time: 10:00 am
Start Location: Station Road, Selkirk

This year’s charity ride, organised by the Royal Burgh of Selkirk Ex-Standard Bearers Association, will take place on Saturday 6th September.

Route:
We will ride up Linglie Glen to the summit of the Three Brethren, then descend into Yarrow Ford for a one-hour stop. After the break, we’ll head over Faulshiels to Philliphaugh before returning to town. (Approx. 17 miles)

Entry Details:
To take part, please email Ally Craig at [email protected] or Peter Forrest at [email protected] for an application and sponsorship form.
• Minimum sponsorship: £25 (collected at registration before the ride)
• Prize: Award for the highest sponsorship raised, courtesy of Cotherd Racing
LIVE MUSIC at night at The Fleece for the Riders Social, free stovies for those that have participated

Important Information:
• Riders under 16 must have their application form signed by a parent or guardian.
• This ride is not suitable for novices. No leading reins allowed.
• The Association reserves the right to refuse entry to any participant
