We are delighted to officially welcome you to TFSS (The Friendly Showing Society) β a new, open, and inclusive showing society created with one simple aim:
To bring enjoyment, encouragement, and kindness back into showing β while maintaining correct, traditional standards.
πΏ WHAT IS TFSS?
TFSS is an open showing society, welcoming competitors of all levels, from grassroots riders to experienced open combinations.
β No amateur restrictions
β No home-produced restrictions
β No politics
β No barriers
TFSS is built on fairness, transparency, encouragement, and respect β for both horse and rider.
We believe showing should be a positive experience where:
β’ Everyone feels welcome
β’ Experience is shared, not resented
β’ Learning from others is encouraged
β’ Confidence is built, not broken

We judge the horse or pony in front of us, fairly and honestly, while ensuring exhibitors leave the ring feeling respected, valued, and supported.
π TFSS CLASSES
TFSS operates with six clear, inclusive categories:
β’ Open Cob
(Open to horses and ponies of all cob types)
β’ Open Coloured
(Open to all coloured Horses and Ponies)
β’ Open Riding Horse / Hack
(Open to Horses Over 148cm (14.2hh)
β’ Open Hunter
(To include ponies of hunter type)
β’ Open Mountain & Moorland
β’ Veteran Horse or Pony
(15 years and over)
ποΈ HOW QUALIFICATION WORKS
TFSS operates a simple and transparent qualification system:
π₯ 1st place qualifies
π₯ 2nd place qualifies if 1st has already qualified
Qualifications do not pass further down the line.
On the day:
β’ The judge issues a signed TFSS qualification card
β’ It is the competitorβs responsibility to send the signed card to TFSS
β’ TFSS verifies and records the qualification
β’ Once verified, the combination is eligible for the Championship Final in that category
Each horse or pony may qualify once per category per season.
ποΈ THE TFSS CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
The TFSS Championship Show will be a friendly, inclusive celebration of showing.
β¨ The show will be open to all exhibitors
β¨ A full schedule of non-championship classes will be available
β¨ Selected classes may act as last-chance qualifiers
Championship Finals
β’ Open only to verified qualified combinations
β’ Each category will award:
β’ Champion
β’ Reserve Champion
Supreme Championship
β’ All category Champions go forward
β’ One Supreme TFSS Champion
β’ One Reserve Supreme Champion
