Scarisbrick Village Hall (Charity No. 525079) – Results of Trustee Elections
In 2025, the trustees undertook a process to appoint a new independent accountant for the charity. Fourteen accountancy practices across the North West, all advertising charity services, were contacted. Although suitably qualified, discussions identified that several had limited or no direct hands-on experience working with small charities similar to the Village Hall.
Following this process, KLT Accounts Ltd were appointed as the charity’s new independent
accountants. While a relatively new practice, the founding director brings six years of direct,
practical experience supporting small charities, including organisations comparable in size
and structure to Scarisbrick Village Hall.
During the AGM, a participant asked whether the trustee election vote would be independently verified. The trustees agreed that independent verification was important for transparency and public confidence.
KLT Accounts Ltd have now independently verified and counted the votes. We are pleased to attach their formal report and findings.
The trustees would like to thank everyone who participated in the AGM and the election
process.
The trustees will update the Charity Commission website over the coming weeks with any changes to elected trustees, representative trustees, and will be considering if co-opting trustees would benefit the charity at this time.
