SCARBOROUGH HATTON COLLEGE STUDENTS put on end-of-year show full of ABBA hits -SUNDAY JUNE 7
Thank you for the music – year one and two students from Hatton College bring the feel-good magic of Swedish group ABBA to the stage Our Last Summer – the end-of-year production.
It promises to be a show packed with hits, incredible live performances, audience singalongs, laughter, dancing, and plenty of glitter-filled fun.
Audiences are encouraged to come dressed in their best disco and ABBA-inspired outfits and fully join in the party atmosphere.
Hatton College principal Julie Hatton said: “Our Last Summer is far more than just a musical tribute.
“The production has been completely developed collaboratively by the students themselves as part of their course training.
" Alongside performing, the year two students have taken on professional industry roles including social media management, costumes, budgeting, project management, set design, choreography, and production planning – giving them invaluable hands-on experience in all aspects of creating live theatre.
“The result is a vibrant, energetic and heartwarming production created by young performers with passion, creativity and teamwork at its heart"
“From iconic songs such as Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia to Waterloo, audiences will be taken on a nostalgic journey through the timeless music of ABBA in a show designed to have everyone singing along from start to finish.
“Get ready to dance, sing, laugh, and relive the magic of ABBA with the next generation of performers – Our Last Summer is set to be the ultimate feel-good celebration of the summer.”
ABBA won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo and their songs feature in the hit stage and movie musical Mamma Mia!
