Ready for an evening of world class live folk music? Tees Folk at Stockton Globe has an amazing line up of the very best in folk and acoustic music from across Teesside, the North-East and beyond.

Headlining this year’s event are Mercury Music Prize nominated and internationally acclaimed artists The Unthanks. At the nucleus of this constantly evolving group are Tyneside sisters Rachel and Becky Unthank, brought up in the world of traditional folk, along with composer, pianist and producer Adrian McNally. The Unthanks will be appearing with a full 10-piece live band.

Since captivating audiences at Tees Folk's inaugural event in 2023, Amelia Coburn has showcased her honest, occasionally hilarious and quintessentially Teesside persona and sound to ever-increasing audiences. Following a sold-out solo headline UK tour in early 2026 and supporting artists such as Paul Weller, Suzanne Vega and The Proclaimers, Amelia is back in familiar territory.

Although a newcomer to the Stockton Globe stage, John Smith has been at the pioneering forefront of British folk guitar music for twenty years. Born in Essex, raised by the Devon seaside and making his bones in the bars and clubs of Liverpool, he has amassed well over 125 million Spotify streams and played his songs all over the world. His honey-on-gravel voice and mesmerizing fingerstyle guitar are unmistakeable.

Completing the bill is Dale Husband, aka Glad Town Ghost. As an East Cleveland native, Dale blends his unique sound with savvy storytelling built around the provincial northernisms and post-industrial landscapes of the area. Dale’s style is steeped in American folk for fans of Jackson C Frank and Cormac McCarthy.

We operate an expression of interest system for artists, in order to avoid approaches being lost in our mailboxes or social media messages. This is now open to EOIs for the 2027 festival!

We want to hear from you if you think you could bring something new to our music programme, or have an idea for folk centred creative delivery in a non- music art form.

Unfortunately, as we receive a significant amount of interest from artists and are a small team, we are unable to respond to all messages and applications to play. However, we do review responses to the EOI form. This is a rolling process, and will be closed when the 2027 programme is finalised.

Been there and didn't get the t-shirt?

If you didn't manage to grab some 2026 merch at the Festival Hub, you're in luck! We have a handful of adult and child sizes left, so why not get something to remember us by? Our size 9/11 and 12/13 children's T-shirts can also fit a small adult- so there are even more colours to choose from if that is you!

If you didn't manage to grab a programme and you'd like to keep one as a memento, they're now available at just £1 plus postage.
