Many thanks to the The PGA for published an article about the journey Golf Access has been on over the last few years and how it was launched by PGA Professional Simon Wood and business partner Kris Robertson.

So far over 6,000 new golfers has begun their journeys into golf with the Golf Access program.

Golf Access players work through 9 levels on their way to completing the program!

Participants are presented with prizes at each level. This heightens motivation because players can always see the next level as an achievable target!

The prizes are specific colours (corresponding with that level’s colour):
⛳️ Wristbands and certificates for juniors
⛳️ Poker chip ball markers for adults

Here’s some Golf Access rules:
⛳️ No hole should exceed 250 yards
⛳️ 9 holes = less than 2,000 yards
⛳️ Maximum score for a hole = 10
⛳️ 3 shots in a bunker? Place it outside of the bunker!

These rules make Golf Access events fun, engaging and appropriate for new golfers 😃

Have you considered that beginners at your club could be playing a full length course too soon? 🤔 Perhaps it takes them 5 or 6 shots to reach the green? 🤨 Golf Access has the solution - it is based around playing events from forward tees! 👍

The number of adults that are introduced to golf with the Golf Access program has continued to grow year on year, and with over 50% of new golfers progressing onto membership at the golf club they participate in the Golf Access events, why wouldn't you want to get involved and drive more members to your golf club this summer with Golf Access.

A question we get regularly is how does the scoring system for Golf Access work?

With the new World Handicap System launching this week, Golf Access is a scoring system for new golfers to progress through before they reach a level to achieve their first handicap.

Golf Access is played from a forward tee on each hole and there are nine unique levels for players to advance through and takes new golfers from never playing on the course to achieving a handicap and joining as a member of a golf club.
