Sixteen new paddlers joined the Breast Cancer Awareness boat, standing alongside our Sharks crew, all dressed in pink. Together, they paused for a moment of reflection - words and a poem shared by Yorkshire Sharks Dragonboat Club coaches, a silence held, and carnations placed gently on the water as a message of love and strength.

Each flower carried a thought - for survivors, for those still fighting, for families and friends who’ve felt the ripple of this disease. The stillness that followed spoke louder than words ever could.

To everyone affected by breast cancer: you’re not alone. On Sunday we paddled for you.
