Darkzy: A Brief History

Born in Nottingham, Darkzy pioneered a resurgence of UK Bassline music during the late 2010’s, becoming one of the most influential names in the scene at the time.

Blending elements of dubstep, grime, DnB and garage, his sound helped shape a new era of UK rave culture.

Tracks such as “Get Mad”, “Gun Fingers” and his remix of “One Dance” became staples of warehouse raves and festival sets across the UK, helping introduce a whole new generation to bassline music.

Alongside artists such as Skepsis and Holy Goof, Darkzy brought the sound back to the forefront through underground raves, massive festival performances and viral moments across social media. His high-energy sets and unmistakable basslines quickly made him one of the defining artists of the modern UK bass scene.

Everyone remembers their first Darkzy set… why not catch him headlining our festival next month?
