We had a lovely day out at the Vine & Craven Point to Point meeting at Kingston Blount on Sunday.
Lovely weather, great racing and they looked after us wonderfully. Such a treat ☀️🏇🍾🏆🍦

Final message pre Marathon!

I am very lucky to be able to run this year’s London Marathon for the wonderful charity, Racing Welfare.

Racing Welfare was started in 2000 and is a charity that supports everyone in a really tough profession. This includes stud, stable and support staff, from recruitment through to retirement.

Although I’m not directly involved with the sport, I am passionate about it. I also have close friends and family in the profession who have needed to reach out to the charity for support.

Recent stories of hardship, depression and even su***de have highlighted it’s importance and resonated with me, personally, as I fight the challenges of my own mental health.

I would be so grateful if you felt you could support me in the marathon for this special charity; I am a bit of a retired sprinter - not an out and out ‘stayer’ …. but I’m working on it!

We will be making the journey to visit our neighbours from the V&C, we hope they have a successful day with good weather, good racing and good fun! 🏇🏆☀️🍾🤞🏻

VINE & CRAVEN POINT-TO-POINT - KINGSTON BLOUNT - SUNDAY 19 APRIL - FIRST RACE 1.00

Since the last meeting, the track has been spiked, rolled and chain-harrowed and the course is now level. The grass has been fertilised and topped. It has rained recently, with 10mm in the last fortnight, and the going is Good to Firm, Good in places.

🏇 During our recent meeting at Larkhill, I was lucky enough to meet Mr Green, who showed me a old Racecard from the Tedworth meeting at Larkhill on 11th May 1968. Mr Green rode the winner of the first race and has kindly donated the Racecard to our Tedworth collection 🏆
It was so interesting to have a read through, back then even though the meeting was in May, the ground was good to soft!
What a lovely piece of Tedworth history for us to add to the already amazing collection we have! 💕

Is this your car? Left at Larkhill Point to Point Course after our meeting on Saturday. It was an epic day but if you could move it please, that would be great! 🚗

This car was left after our point to point on Saturday. Does anyone recognise it? Can the owner please contact us. We will need to arrange access so you can collect it.
