This January, the Arc 25 race began in St Ives, where wild Atlantic energy meets postcard perfect England. Cobbled streets, fishing boats in the harbour, crisp sea air and that unmistakable Cornish charm.

ARC OF ATTRITION 2026 🌊πŸ”₯

Three days. Four race distances. Endless miles. Unforgiving coastline. The elements decided who would finish. This is the Arc of Attrition by UTMB.

Thank you to the runners, the wonderful Arc Angel volunteers, crews and coastal communities who made this weekend unforgettable.

A massive congrats to our finishers, but also a massive WELL DONE to everyone who started their race over the weekend πŸ‘πŸ»

What a jam-packed weekend as runners πŸƒπŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ from near and far took on the wild beauty of the South West Coast Path in Cornwall 🌊

Four epic race starts -

πŸŸ₯ Arc 100 | 🟩 Arc 50 | 🟧 Arc 25 | 🟨 Arc 12

The South Coast delivered some of the wettest and wildest conditions we’ve seen at the Arc in years - relentless mud, driving rain and howling wind πŸŒ§οΈπŸ’¨

The final day saw our Arc 12 and Arc 25 runners hit the trails - an early start in the dark for the Arc 12 🟨 crew, before the sun 🌞 finally made a welcome appearance for our Arc 25 🟧 runners.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers and amazing Arc Angels πŸͺ½πŸ’™ and kudos to all runners who towed the line this weekend at the Arc of Attrition 2026 πŸ™

From the early miles, Naomi Lang took control of the race, setting a relentless pace with Nuria Gil Clapera close behind and keeping the pressure on throughout πŸ’ͺ

When it mattered most, Naomi found another gear, opening a decisive gap on the ASICS athlete to claim a superb victory.

Behind them, the fight for third was on. MaΓ«lle Beauvir and Rachel Brown went shoulder to shoulder, trading positions repeatedly.

A fierce front pack formed early, with the leaders locked together stride for stride for most of the race.

The pressure stayed on all the way - no margin for mistakes.

It was Robbie Simpson who found another gear on the final climb out of Portreath, making the decisive move when it mattered most.

Behind him, Raoul Raus and Ben Rothery battled all the way to the line, separated by just seconds in a thrilling finish at the Arc 25 🟧πŸ”₯

Katrina Entwistle and Amelia Williams wasted no time asserting themselves, both committing hard from the gun and delivering strong, composed runs despite the demanding conditions.

Their consistency and resilience over a punishing course earned them well-deserved podium spots in a tightly contested women’s race ⚑️πŸ’ͺ

HIGHLIGHTS from Day 2 ✌️of the Arc of Attrition 2026 πŸ”₯

The South West Coast Path came alive with grit and determination, as the Arc 50M 🟩 runners joined the Arc 100M πŸŸ₯ field.

In the Arc 100M, the final miles demanded everything, with athletes pushing through fatigue and darkness along Cornwall’s unforgiving coastline.

Meanwhile, the Arc 50M races delivered standout performances, showcasing strength, strategy, and speed under pressure ⚑️πŸ”₯

From powerful battles at the front to emotional finishes in the early hours of the morning, runners across both distances braved the testing Winter conditions to reach the finish line 🏁πŸ’ͺ

It has been an Arc forged by the elements, and an Arc that we won’t forget! 🌊πŸ”₯
