Every race has a start line and Arc's began with three people.

Jane, Andy and Ferg were the original brains behind Arc of Attrition. With a shared passion for trail running, deep local knowledge and a belief that Cornwall's coastline deserved a race worthy of it, they created something beautiful.

Their vision shaped more than a course. It shaped the character of the event, the community around it and the experience so many runners return for year after year.

A new year. A new chapter.

For 2027, Arc has a new home.

Perranporth Airfield will become the heart of race weekend, bringing together the Ultra-Trail Village, bib collection and finish line. It's where stories begin, journeys end and the Arc community comes together to celebrate every achievement.

The Arc 50K offers a new experience in 2027, with runners travelling north to south across the Cornish coastline before reaching the finish in Perranporth.

We're looking forward to welcoming you.

Don't miss your chance to join us for the 12th edition of Arc of Attrition. Whether you're taking on the legendary 100M, the challenging 100K, the newly updated 50K or 20K, now is the time to secure your place on the start.

🟩 Arc 100K – 82KM & 2,500m+
🟧 Arc 50K – 50KM & 1,000m+

🔓 Priority Registration is now open for the 2027 edition of Arc of Attrition by UTMB.

Runners who hold a valid UTMB Index can now secure their place on the start line of one of the UK's most iconic winter trail running events.

📅 22–24 January 2027.
📍 The Ultra-Trail Village, registration, finish line and Youth Races will be at Perranporth Airfield.
⚠️Please note that registrations are subject to a variable pricing structure. To secure the best available price, we recommend entering as early as possible.

If you don't have a UTMB Index, General Registration opens on Wednesday 15 July at 10:00 BST. Be ready to secure your place when entries go live.

New for 2026 🇬🇧✨

This January, the Arc 25 race began in St Ives, where wild Atlantic energy meets postcard perfect England. Cobbled streets, fishing boats in the harbour, crisp sea air and that unmistakable Cornish charm.
