When Underworld’s Born Slippy (NUXX) featured in Trainspotting, it helped introduce a generation to the energy, emotion and spirit of underground dance music.

The track wasn’t written as a chart record. It started life as a B-side before finding a much bigger audience through the film and becoming one of the defining sounds of the 90s.

Nearly 30 years later, Born Slippy still has the power to fill dancefloors, create moments and transport people straight back to an era that changed club culture forever.

Chicane ft. Bryan Adams – Don’t Give Up

Released in 2000, Don’t Give Up brought together two very different worlds.

On one side was Chicane, one of the leading names in melodic trance and progressive dance music. On the other was Bryan Adams, whose unmistakable voice had already soundtracked a generation.

The result was a record that crossed club culture and mainstream music without losing the emotion of either.

Built around uplifting melodies, powerful vocals and a message of resilience, Don’t Give Up became one of the defining dance records of the early 2000s.

More than 25 years later, it’s still a hands-in-the-air moment whenever it drops.
