On Saturday, we said farewell to this year’s Festival with an emotional farewell to Cantorion John S Davies Singers, performing with a slew of fabulous soloists and the British Sinfonietta in a programme of Byrd, Bach and Haydn.

Thank you to John for his over 60 years of musical direction to thousands of people across Wales and further afield - it was an honour to host your final concert with the Singers.

Do join us next year from Friday 28th May for the 46th edition of St Davids Cathedral Music Festival. Thank you to everyone who have joined us this year.

What a bumper few days we’ve had! Wednesday saw a cracking Radio 3 Evensong broadcast with our cathedral choir and who then delighted us with a feast of John Dowland in the evening.

Thursday saw husband and wife duo Catherine Tanner-Williams and Christopher Williams performing a gorgeous afternoon recital of oboe and piano music, which was followed by an incredible Jazz and canapés evening at Ty’r Pererin with and his trio, catered by the amazing Rachyel Ainsworth and her team.

Then to tonight, and and her sister Rakhi, flautist Nigel Shaw and percussionist Simon Roth in an incredible concert fusing baroque, folk and contemporary music into a truly memorable performance. Thank you to all our performers!

We have just one concert left, and it’s a big one: John S Davies’ final concert with his Cantorion, accompanied by the British Sinfonietta with a quintet of stunning Welsh soloists. There are a few aisle seats and a tiny number of nave seats left, so head online or to our box office from 10am tomorrow to get your tickets for what promises to be a night to remember.
