Lafrowda Festival online benefit painting auction

Here's an opportunity for someone! I had A1 (84 cms x 59.4 cms) blow-up prints of the 2009 Jazz painitng and the 2015 Yellow Submarine one made at my local excellent printer in order to use them as wall displays for my 70th birthday party recently. They are laminated for protection and to stiffen them. I'd be happy to donate, to Lafrowda festival funds, any proceeds from the sale of either or both of them.

Each cost me £20 to print, so any amount above that amount each would seem to be fair. Please private message me if interested.

I'm touched that friends keep visiting and liking this page and its contents. It may well be that the Fifteen Lafrowda paintings that I have made over about that same number of years now form a complete collection due to the fact that I'm now wheelchair-based as a result of secondary bone cancer. One week until Lafrowda painting auction concludes!

I was unable to be at Lafrowda Day this year because it came in the middle of the post-radiotherapy pain flare that I had to deal with. Radiotherapy has been part of my treatment for secondary bone cancer. In light of this disclosure it will have occurred to you that the image of Confronting the beast ( https://www.hendersonsmith.co.uk/product/confronting-beast-lafrowda-2017/ ) has developed an additional and personal significance for me.

In the late summer of 2017 when the painting was created, following a visit that my partner and I had made to the festival, I was getting over the last of six cycles of chemotherapy. Then, as plans for my current exhibition, Reprieve, now running at Bodmin Shire Hall, began to take shape; I realised that the Lafrowda canvas could represent an important part of the story behind the show. That is why I decided that the end of the exhibition, which is next Saturday, would be the best date for the conclusion of this latest online auction. I've just been edging the canvas for its inclusion in my Bodmin Shire Hall exhibition Reprieve which I will be hanging next Saturday morning and still have to varnish it along with the thirteen other pieces in the show.
