Lovely visit from Performing Pets and Christina who brought 7 of the cutest little 3 week old Bantum Chicks to meet our residents 🐥
We walked around the home and everyone fell in love with them.

Great St Patrick’s Pub Night at Fosse ☘️
We had lots of fun chatting together and singing along to choice of Irish Songs we enjoyed snacks and mini Guinness desserts along with a tipple or two.
Fun evening had by all of us and we also welcomed some new faces who joined us on our very popular Wednesday Pub Night🫶

Today at Fosse we welcomed residents,
families and friends to enjoy our Global Tea Party continuing to enjoy our week of Nutrition and Hydration.
It was a wonderful social morning spent together with choice of different cakes,sandwiches and tea party goodies with lots of cups of tea,coffee and cold beverages. We even enjoyed some sun in the garden.

Today at Fosse we had Fruity Tuesday for the beginning of Nutrition and Hydration Week.
What better way to promote the benefits of good Nutrition and Hydration than having a Fruit Trolley around the home.
Our residents had lots of fun and enjoyed taking part and making their own fruit kebabs from a wonderful choice of colourful fruits from different types of melon to raspberries and blueberries to name a few.
We also had a selection of smoothies made by our Head Chef Lee for our Fruity Trolley such as Tomatoe,Blackcurrant,
Banana and Cucumber Lemon and Lime which went down a treat.

Wonderful Mothers Day Afternoon Tea at Fosse today 🫶

Residents and families enjoyed lots of lovely treats with choice of sandwiches,selection of cakes 🧁 scones with jam and cream and savoury snacks as well accompanied by a glass or two of bubbly 🥂
Everyone received a lovely Mothers Day present as well.
Thanks to our Chefs and the kitchen for their support and everyone who helped to make today special

Today two of our wonderful residents Margaret and Maggie went on a shopping trip with activity workers Sally and Inara 🛍️
We visited Matalan in St Albans and had lovely morning choosing new clothes together.
Our ladies chose some new nightwear, shoes and trousers and tops.

Our residents enjoyed a very lively Rise seated Exercise session with Adam and Eunice this morning and our theme today was Rugby 🏉
We had lots of fun together with Rugby relay, side passes and touchdowns and a Six Nations Quiz followed by a Rugby match at the end between the two teams France 🇫🇷 and Italy 🇮🇹
We welcomed some new faces to our session this morning and everyone enjoyed being together and joining in with the fun the place was full of laughter and smiles.

Our residents enjoyed their afternoon session of Armchair Yoga with the lovely Dorna this afternoon.
Together we did yoga exercises with gentle stretching to promote mobility and strength, relaxing breathing exercises and meditation.
Wonderful afternoon which left our residents commenting with phrases such as leaves me feeling happy, I feel relaxed and makes me feel like I belong ❤️
Our residents love their visits from Dorna
and are already looking forward to our next Wellbeing session 🫶

Many of our residents know that Jackie often takes on the important job of going around Dove Lounge with the menu sheets, asking everyone what they would like for their meals. It’s something she enjoys doing and it’s a lovely way for residents to support one another.

We love seeing residents play such an active role in daily life at Fosse House. Thank you Jackie for always being such a wonderful helper! ✨
