The second half gets underway... and there's added drama here in St Agnes as our maestro Ben Salfield has a costume change and now sports a spectacular baroque coat in green and blue from the 1720s. This is steam punk / baroque n roll at its finest, and Scarlatti Sonatas are rolling out impossibly from his masterful fingers ahead of a Weiss Ciacona and the famous epic Bach Chaconne...

If you weren't here to witness this, you've truly missed out. This is Salfield at his very best!

...And we're off!

Rolling back the years, Ben Salfield enters the arena to a fantastic welcome from the assembled listeners here in St Agnes, Cornwall.

Bedecked with trademark multiple earrings and a new flathawk haircut, he opens with a series of Fantasias by Luys Milan, fittingly from the 1536 book "El Maestro" - to be followed by other Spanish music in this first half ahead of baroque classics from 20:35 UK time.

A warm and engaging interview with Ben Salfield by Tony "Pagan" Leamon ahead of Ben's benefit concert at St Agnes Miners & Mechanics' Institute - MMI at 7.30 pm.
