Due to the weather forecast for Saturday, particularly the high winds, South Island Sevens have had to make the difficult and disappointing decision to cancel all sports events that were due to take place on Saturday evening.
This decision was made to ensure the safety of runners and associated event infrastructure, especially as the running route enters some exposed areas.
It is with much regret they have also had to cancel the planned fireworks display so this will now not be taking place. This is a decision that everyone at Rock 2 Rock fully supports to ensure the welfare of all our runners.
South Island Sevens would love you to still come and enjoy the event during the day, if you decide to make the trip they will provide a complementary wrist band for entry to the Rugby 7’s taking place from 10:00am at Ryde School.
Both South Island Sevens and Rock 2 Rock would love you to come bank and run next year so have automatically deferred your place to the 2024 event.
However, if this is not a suitable option for you then please login into your ticket pass account where you will be able to activate a refund.
