Well beer fans, never let it be said we don't bring you the latest breaking brews. Stratford's Ya-Bard is getting national press for offering, at £75, the UKs most expensive pint.
What's actually on offer is a third of one of the world's rarest beers - Blessed, all the way from Ankorage, Alaska - at £25. This 21% 3 year barrel aged imperial stout has never crossed the Atlantic before and is only on offer in Stratford, today!
Of course we had to see what all the fuss is about and while it would be lovely to tell you to save your cash, it's absolutely delicious. Rich, thick, coconut and vanilla as well as bourbon from the barrells. Incredibly smooth and really satisfying. It is to a normal stout what a fine vintage port is to a baby sham!
Is it £20 a third better than any other imperial stout however? That's a matter of opinion. They do let you keep the glass though!
Prost!
