As you may be aware, last month we announced that a show due to be performed at the Feel Good Family Picnic would not be taking place. 'Scrumptious' by the Beggars Belief Collective was a late cancellation so you may have seen it mentioned on signage or in your printed programme. We are very sorry to let you know that Rosa Taylor who played ‘Sylvie’ in the show tragically lost her life a few days before she was due to visit Rochdale. Rosa was right at the start of her career, her talent had been recognised and she was about to begin her professional training in musical theatre. She was a much loved shining star. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and colleagues 💔
Rosa Taylor 21/08/2005 - 24/07/2025
We are sad and devastated that our dear sweet Rosa who played ‘Sylvie’ in our family show ‘SCRUMPTIOUS!’ tragically lost her life on Thursday.
Rosa was right at the start of her career, her talent had been recognised and she was about to begin her professional training in musical theatre at the prestigious Trinity Laban Centre in London.
In our play, Rosa brought sweetness and joy. She was such an affectionate soul and small children would cuddle and cling to her after the show. Like the cherry tree that blossoms in Spring, her short life has brought wonder and beauty to everyone who knew her.
Rosa will be missed forever by her family and friends. We would like to offer them our deepest and most heartfelt condolences.
We will always be grateful to you, Rosa, for the time you gave us. Your memory will continue to sing and dance in our hearts.
With love and respect,
Nicky and Guy Hargreaves
Joint Artistic Directors of Beggars Belief Collective
