π₯ FOSTERβS ON FIRE β TOTAL9BALL TERRIFIED! π₯
The British Pool Federationβs National 10ball Champion is at it again!
Mark Fosterβs 10ball winning streak continues as he adds Total9ball Event 8 to his growing collection of titles! π
Yesterday, T9B was back at the amazing Spots & Stripes Redhill. It was a smaller-than-usual field of 30 players, but WOW⦠it was absolutely packed with talent!
Due to demand, the venue has reduced the number of American tables to 9, but that certainly didn't stop the action. Alan Morgan was the man behind the desk, supported brilliantly by Amy May.
THE ACTION BEGINS
The opening round once again produced some epic matches.
The headline match saw Mark Foster take on Oliver Lawrence, with Foster making the perfect start to his day, running out a 7β3 winner.
So Shaw looked to be hitting the ball beautifully as his coach Alan Bell watched on while he ran out a 7β2 winner over Karl Williams.
Imran Majid needed every single rack to get the better of improving Sean Redahan, winning 7β6.
The only female player in the field, Daria Siranchuk, looked in excellent form as she defeated young talent Seth Wood 7β3.
For the third event in a row, younger player Milan Patel pushed Simon Beard onto the losers' side with another impressive 7β2 victory.
We then witnessed two exciting Hill-Hill matches in the Winners' Qualification round.
Wayne Rooke got the better of Tom Staveley after Tom missed a chance to win the deciding rack, while Michael Hope battled hard to defeat So Shaw 7β6.
Once the losers' qualifier matches were concluded, we had our Final 16.
Every player was now just one victory away from prize money, with the matches now becoming straight knockout.
π A SNOOKER LEGEND ARRIVES!
And then⦠a snooker legend walked into the venue to watch some of the action.
None other than Jimmy "The Whirlwind" White! π
With Jimmy watching on, the Final 16 produced some fantastic matches:
Dimi Siampanis 6β7 Mark Foster
Wayne Rooke 7β4 Trev Smith
Imran Majid 7β3 Tom Staveley
Daria Siranchuk 3β7 Liam Monk
Phil Wildman 7β3 Carlo Blasi
Michael Hope 7β1 Oli Lawrence
Milan Patel 4β7 So Shaw
Kevin May 7β5 Nick Ronase
Each remaining player was now just three wins away from tournament glory!
π THE QUARTER FINALS
It was recently announced that BPF National 10ball Champion Mark Foster will represent the UK at the Commonwealth Championships in India at the end of October.
And he showed exactly why he will be heading there.
Foster was absolutely flying as he demolished Wayne Rooke 7β0.
Imran Majid set up a high-class semi-final against Foster by ending Liam Monk's excellent run with a 7β1 victory.
Michael Hope and Phil Wildman were involved in the closest match of the quarter finals, with Hope coming through 7β5.
Kevin May produced a whirlwind performance of his own in front of Jimmy White, quickly dispatching So Shaw 7β2.
π₯ THE SEMI FINALS
Mark Foster continued to look absolutely unstoppable as he defeated Imran Majid 7β2.
Meanwhile, Kevin May defeated Michael Hope 7β2 to book his place in the final.
π THE FINAL
It was time for the FINAL!
Kevin May started the match strongly, but as the final progressed he appeared to run out of steam as Foster shifted through the gears.
The National Champion put the afterburners on and eventually secured the title with a 7β3 victory! π₯π₯π₯
Another magnificent performance from a man who is truly showing exactly why he is the BPF National 10ball Champion.
A massive congratulations to Mark Foster on another awesome victory! ππ
