*this has also been emailed to participants*
To all our Redditch 10k and 7k participants,
Thank you for signing up for the 2024 Final Redditch 10k and 7k trail run at Arrow Valley Country Park. We are really excited to welcome you all to this year’s event. The final preparations are underway, the course is being marked out as we speak.
Please find below some important information for the day;
*Car parking: The closest car parking to the start / finish are the car parks off Battens Drive, B98 0LJ. You can also park on the road opposite on Padgets lane. Be aware that this does not include the Lidl carpark, and parking there may get you a ticket. There will also be an overflow car park on the field by registration opposite the visitor’s centre providing the grass isn’t to boggy. Please be aware this is a public park so there is a potential for parking to busy due to the glorious weather, so allow extra time.
*Registration: 14:45 – 15:45
*Start time: 16:00
*Race briefing: 15:50
*There will be a water stop on the course and refreshments for runners at the finish line.
*Terrain: Most of the run is on off road foot paths, trails & fields with some tarmac sections.
*Footwear: It may rain this weekend, so we advise you to bring both trail and road trainers and assess it just prior, there are some muddy sections. No spikes allowed.
*Registration will be at the start / finish point on the field by the visitors centre B98 0LJ, this is where you will receive your bib number. There will be a Redditch 10k & 7k banner at the entrance off Battens Drive near the Lidl supermarket.
We have now closed registration.
Both routes will follow orange arrows around the course, with a few blue arrows for the 7k route deviations. The 10k is two laps of a 5k route. The 7k will divert from the 10k route on the second lap at the end of the bridal path which is 200m from the start/finish line. Everyone will pass the start/ finish line at 5k.
