🌟 The Winners of the Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire Entrepreneurs Challenge🌟

We’re delighted to celebrate the outstanding talent, innovation, and community impact showcased through this year’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire Entrepreneurs Project. The calibre of entries was exceptional, and every finalist demonstrated passion, purpose, and entrepreneurial spirit.

🏆 Overall Winner – Inclusive United CIC
Inclusive United CIC stood out for their powerful mission to create inclusive sporting opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities, neurodiversity, SEN, and additional needs. Their work ensures that every individual has the chance to stay active, build confidence, develop independence, and feel part of a supportive community.

Inspired by Thomas a 21‑year‑old who progressed from a supported intern to an apprentice coach — Inclusive United CIC proves what’s possible when meaningful opportunities are offered. Their programmes span inclusive sport, wellbeing, employability, SEN school PE delivery, and inclusive coaching across multiple sports. Their partnerships with schools, colleges, universities, sports clubs, charities such as Watford FC CSE Trust, and local businesses demonstrate a deep commitment to embedding inclusive practice across Hertfordshire.
A truly deserving winner whose impact reaches far beyond the playing field.

What an unforgettable weekend at the Hertfordshire County Show 2026 ☀️🐄🐑🐴

To everyone who came out — especially in the middle of a heatwave — thank you. Your enthusiasm, your smiles, and your incredible support are what make this Show so special. We truly couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you ❤️

From the livestock and horse rings to the main arena, from the food stalls to the family fun zones, the Showground was bursting with energy, laughter, and community spirit. It was everything we love about Hertfordshire, all in one place.

And we’re not done yet…

🌟 Meet William — Our Youngest Superstar of the Sheep Lines! 🌟

Every year at the Hertfordshire County Show we meet wonderful people… but this year, one small shepherd completely stole our hearts.

Five‑year‑old William arrived with his lovely lamb Oopsy, a Llanwenog crossed with a Suffolk Charollais ram — and it was the first time in the show ring for them both.

What makes this pair so special is the story behind the smiles. William spent after‑school evenings brushing, trimming, and gently halter‑training Oopsy, only letting go once (and that was during one of her enthusiastic “leaping about” moments!).

For a whole week he asked, “How many sleeps now?” — counting down with the kind of excitement only a child and his first show lamb can bring.

And when the big day finally arrived… he was an absolute superstar. Calm, kind, patient, and so proud of his girl. Exactly the spirit we love to see in our young handlers.

We’re already hoping to see William and Oopsy in more rings this year — because this is exactly how future stockmen and women begin: with joy, dedication, and one very special lamb.

💛🐑 Well done, William — you made the whole show team smile.
