The clear weather has returned and we’re setting up for a night under the stars showing Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

This evening’s screening of The Greatest Showman at Reading Abbey Ruins is now CANCELLED due to severe weather conditions.

The forecast high winds make it unsafe for an event to go ahead, and with no option for the event to be rescheduled, the event will no longer be going ahead.

Everyone who has purchased tickets, has now been emailed.

If you would still like to join us for an evening of outdoor cinema in the Reading Abbey Ruins, the weather forecast looks much better tomorrow, and our screening of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will still be going ahead (31st August). Tickets available via link in bio.

On site for both events will be , offering the very best hot drinks and homemade sweet treats.

Plus, expect fresh Neapolitan style pizzas 🍕 from the brilliant at A Knight’s Tale, and delicious gourmet burgers from .mcr at Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

We love supporting local and know you do too! So come prepared to grab your hot drinks, sweet treats and pizzas/burgers ahead of the films starting. Access to the food area will be available from 7:30pm.

Two evenings of movies under the stars at the truly epic Kirkstall Abbey, as well as the stunning Abbey Ruins in central Reading.

⚠️EVENT UPDATE⚠️

For those due to be joining us for the Harry Potter outdoor cinema event this evening at Kirkstall Abbey, please note that the event IS STILL GOING AHEAD.

Kirkstall Abbey is currently closed, due to a number of trees having been knocked down in the grounds, but it will be open in time for this evening’s event.

We are keeping a close eye on the weather, and as it currently stands, the wind is due to settle ahead of the event start time.

If anything changes and the weather becomes unsafe for hosting outdoor cinema, all customers will be emailed and another post will be shared here.
