The Globe is committed to event safety excellence and we have been approved with the We’re Good To Go Industry Standard mark, this means that we have:

✅ Followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines

✅ Have a Risk Assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.

Our hire service is also headed up by an accredited Safer event organiser.

Our venue services include multipurpose spaces, if you are Berkshire based business, individual or community group and are looking to host an event for 2021 or 2022 please email us - [email protected]

We are Open, that’s right The Globe is and we are Covid Secure!

As per the latest Government announcement on 17 May, we are now able to host meetings and events for up to 500 delegates.

We are also continuing to offer site visits, so please contact the Venue team on [email protected] to book an appointment or discuss any event enquiries.

Post - Covid preparations - what are we doing now?

We really miss hosting events at The Globe and talks with our events industry friends are highlighting this theme of wanting recovery and a swift return to live gatherings. We will of course await to receive the specific and legal guidelines from the government.

We are in contact with other national venue providers and looking at ideas on how to still offer an excellent event space that incorporates best practice for social distancing and industry-standard hygiene and cleanliness @ The Globe.

What's on Nationwide?

VE Day 75 Festival! VE Day is a national holiday in many of the former allied countries. It commemorates the day the Allies formally accepted the unconditional surrender of the armed forces of N**i Germany. It is a very important holiday for most nations, as it marks the end of the Holocaust and Hitler’s N**i regime.

Wishing the town of Reading health and recovery from this COVID-19 episode. Inline with Government instructions The Globe has temporarily closed as a venue for hosting events. We’ve spent a few moments to reflect on the rich events culture of our town, we are indeed a town that unifies to celebrate and appreciate diverse arts, music, sports and food through events like- Reading Rock Festival, Reading Carnival, Reading Fringe Festival, Reading Water Festival and many more niche events.

The Globe, still very much a hidden gem in Reading, strives to continue to add to the value of the town’s event offerings and we are 100% committed to the recovery of the events sector.
