LOCATION CHANGE - Now presented at St George’s Church
Under the Same Stars is a giant, illuminated inflatable sculpture: a glowing constellation of stars, each one created by someone from Ramsgate.
Conceived by artist Carson Parkin-Fairley and co-created through workshops with local faith groups, community centres, and unaccompanied refugees, the piece is a celebration of togetherness. It invites us to remember: no matter where we are from or what we believe, we all live under the same stars.
Friday and Saturday 2-7pm
Sunday 5-7pm (following Floating Frequencies)
Its been a really fantastic addition to the light trail thanks to the additional funding from Arts Council England, and thanks to the motivation and energy of our lead artist, Carson, to get so many people involved at such short notice. Cant wait to bask under the glow of the stars.
Carson Parkin-Fairley is a multidisciplinary artist who explores worship, celebration, care, joy and storytelling through her practice. Her work is inspired by stories, religious iconography, shrines, and popular culture. She creates universes where ordinary people become extraordinary, building worlds that celebrate connection and kindness, and revealing the sacred in everyday life. She believes in art as service, accessible, intimate, and transformative, and constructs experiences that invite people to feel seen, cherished, and part of something larger. At its heart, her practice is an act of devotion: to celebrate, to care, to create joy and community, and to honour the holiness of being alive together.
