Happy Friday! Today we are taking a moment to celebrate the beautiful Wiltshire countryside around us as we embrace the fleeting joy of bluebell season. We hope you have a relaxing weekend ahead 🍃

As spring dawns, we are reminiscing over last year's spectacular inaugural Festival. Our fastest sell-out event was 'Rooted in Earth', our farm walk, lunch and folk music experience with the amazing David and Geoff Homer Homer Farming.

Our audience was fascinated to gain an insight into the interplay between nature and faming and where the food we eat truly originates, followed by a delicious rustic lunch by Chef James Graham and stunning music by Adam Cooney.

We were also delighted to partner with The Milk Yard and Savernake Knives, both based at the farm, to showcase their special offerings, and for the Milk Yard, to sample ice cream made from the milk of the cows themselves.

Our aim is to present world-class, innovative, cross-disciplinary programming rooted in the beautiful rural environment in which we live, and this event was core to our values. We can't wait for what this year will bring!

‘Reflections on Conducting’, a talk by conductor Hilary Davan Wetton on Friday 3rd October at lunchtime at Eastmanton Barn, Sparsholt

‘The Virtuoso and the Ghost’ with piano and actor on Saturday 4th October at Wick Bottom Barn, Rockley

‘Trumpet Fireworks’, a family concert with Hilary and trumpeter Crispian Steele-Perkins on Sunday 5th October at 3.30pm at St Mary’s, Great Bedwyn

A handful of tickets remain for our two children’s sessions, ‘The Singing Shell’ and ‘Whale Song’ on Saturday 4th October in the morning at Ramsbury Memorial Hall

And you can snap up the last few tickets (literally!) for our jazz evening, ‘The Harvest Moon’, tomorrow at The Ridgeway Barns!

An ancient oak tree in Savernake Forest has been named one of the UK’s top five trees in this year’s Woodland Trust Tree of the Year competition 🌲

The King of Limbs, thought to be over 1,000 years old, is famous for its sprawling branches and hollowing trunk and even inspired Radiohead’s 2011 album of the same name.

We’re thrilled to announce a brand new collaboration to feature at our flagship concert, ‘The Virtuoso and the Ghost’!

World-renowned and iconic The Macallan are bringing a fabulous pop-up whisky bar to Wickbottom Barn, and we’re excited to welcome Macallan Ambassador George Michie to take you through an exclusive complimentary tasting in the extended interval.

We’re utterly delighted to be partnering with Macallan in our first year; this is one not to be missed!

At the concert itself, actor Robert Dukes features alongside star pianist Seonghyeon Leem in the role of the ghost of Paganini, the original rockstar, while Seonghyeon brings the music of Chopin, Rachmaninov and Liszt to life with her stunning playing, all in the glorious surroundings of the newly renovated Wick Bottom Barn.
