A perfect morning for Rainford Scout Group leader team to do the clear up. Litter was picked, what was left of the fire raked and cleared away.

We did our best to get all the nails picked up but watch your footing until the area is reseeded.

THE FINAL MEETING HAS TAKEN PLACE AND WE HAVE CONFIRMATION OF TIMES FOR TOMORROW NIGHTS EVENT

THE FIRE WILL BE LIT BETWIXT APPROXIMATELY 18:03 AND 18:17

ONCE THE FIRE HAS BURNT DOWN SUFFICIENTLY WE'LL PUT THE BLUE TOUCH PAPER TO THE FIREWORKS. THIS WILL BE IN THE REGION OF 19:02.

The display will be amazing again this year. All the effort behind the scenes pulling all this together will be worth it!! Advance tickets will be onsite until 1600 then on the gate entry will be £10 each. Everyone under 5 doesn't need a ticket.

Remember the event has no parking. If you live in Rainford try and make your way to the event on foot. If you are going utilise a motor vehicle remember to park considerately and legally. Let’s keep the safety of other in mind and not block any footpaths or access.

In typical fashion the weather is looking perfect for the evening of the bonfire but fun as ever for the team setting up! Rainford Scout Group have this every year but they are brave and will get it sorted.

Keep in mind this is a field and there will be puddles and likely mud. Leave the suede white trainers at home!

Had a few messages along the lines of “Why the 1st not the weekend after?”

The organisation of this event is run entirely by volunteers. Both of the groups, Rainford Scout Group and Rotary St Helens will be attending services for Remembrance Sunday. Making the post event clean up impossible.

Second batch of tickets delivered to our outlets.

Thank you all who have supported the event so far. In typical fashion the weather is looking wet during the day when the fire and ground is being prepared. The team from Rainford Scout Group always love building the fire in the wet!!

We are very happy to once again be supported by the guys at The Pallet Company Ltd in St Helens.

They will again be providing the fuel, logistics and transportation of all the fuel we need for the bonfire.

Thank you all for the offers of Firewood and supplies for it. However, we must politely refuse. The whole event comes together in one day. We can not collect and store any thing ahead of time and there is too much traffic coming and going on the day that we cannot have any extra vehicles for everyones safety.
