The Foxton Festival The Foxton Festival is on 6th August 2016 The products of these workshops will then be showcased or sold at the festival.

The Foxton Festival is a one day event which aims to celebrate ‘community unity’ within the multi-cultural area of Avenham in Preston. The festival aims to improve social inclusion by providing opportunities for The Foxton Centre service users to develop skills and express themselves in healthy and positive ways by learning new skills such as performing arts, poetry, craft making and creative medi

a, with the aim of building confidence and self-esteem. The Foxton Festival also aims to engage with the wider Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic groups around the Avenham area and break down cultural barriers, by facilitating in the involvement of these groups to participate in delivering workshops, selling food and performing on festival day. We are hoping that this will build stronger links with the wider community including local businesses and organisations.

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came to the Foxton Festival today! Thank you to Crossbill for providing live music, Zabeda and family for delicious food and henna painting! Kash for teaching us Bollywood dancing! Colin from Contour Housing for his massive help and support! A massive thank you for the donation of £700 raised by the efforts of Mr and Mrs Hornby. And as ever, a massive thanks to Foxtons dedicated staff, volunteers and trustees for their support - always there and always respected! Last but not least a massive thank you to Daniel and James for organsing the football match! A big congratulations to Troy for best goal and being unofficial Man of the Match after stepping in as a player to ensure the match could go ahead! On to bigger and better for next year...

I'm such an excited dragon! The festival is going to be amazing..Cross Bill will be playing and DJ Kash will be performing! We can still fit in more artists between 2pm-3pm so if you are passionate about music, dancing, poetry or any other performance arts, please get in touch!

Hi everyone, Graham here again...I have another request of all you lovely people. Our Festival tombola is in desperate need of more prizes! If anyone can spare a bottle of wine, box of chocolates etc. this would be great! Any unusual prizes would be very welcome as well...once we had an army of gnomes donated...that was an interesting day...

Hi everyone, Graham here. I have been so busy planning and organising for the festival! Luckily I've had a great team around me and lots of people giving helping hands! I can't believe how fast the time has gone...and there is still so much to do!!
