Through the wonders of modern technology, Ben S. Hyland joined us at last week, for a little natter with LFN Chairman Ed Greenberg, about his short films The Snip and The Man That I Wave At - both of which have screened with us here at Arc Cinema Preston.

Fantastic films, insightful Q&As, and a new home for film lovers and storytellers in the heart of Preston to unite every single month.

We've proudly lit the way for independent film at Arc Cinema Preston since March - and we are only just scratching the surface of what's coming on the road to the city's biggest film festival. Unsure? This sums up what we're all about.

Tickets for our next screening on June 26th will go on sale soon via Arc's website - stay tuned to our socials to be amongst the first to find out when they'll go live.

So we've got a question for our growing family: if you could programme your ideal , what would you want to see - shorts? Features? Specific genres? Let us know in the comments!

At Firestorm, our support for independent filmmakers doesn't end when that Q&A wraps - because last month, our audiences began a new tradition we call "The Post-Credits".

Straight after this month's at Arc Cinema Preston, we're heading over to the Argento Lounge for the usual informal networking and conversation which happens, naturally, after a night of good cinema. Whether you're a filmmaker looking to meet collaborators, a crew member, or someone who just wants to dive deep into what they've just seen with like-minded people, this is where bold stories begin.

Friday Night is Firestorm Night. Join us at The Arc from 7pm - with the last tickets available for just a fiver. preston.arccinema.co.uk/event/109285
