The Stacey Community Centre is used by the local community for group meetings and events. The centre is run by The Stacey Community Association as a registered charity which is made up of volunteers, who are local residents, people who come to a group here at the centre and those who are interested in maintaining this valuable resource for the local community. Anyone can join the Association pleas

e ask at the office for the next meeting date, they meet on a monthly basis. If anyone is interested in volunteering we have many opportunities, these include gardening in our Community Orchard, a project which evolved from a neglected and overgrown plot of land in 2009 with the help of funding from Portsmouth City Council's Healthy Pompey project; now run by a community gardener and volunteers entirely self-funded through fund-raising events. Our community garden brings the local and extended community together in a creative and productive way. If anyone would like to help in the garden they would be more than welcome to come along, tools, gloves, tea & coffee all provided. Or if you would like to bring a group or a school along to visit or maybe even hire it for a special party or event please contact our office.

Moving Forward Event - helping young people with SEND in Portsmouth to plan for their future

Find help and support at Moving Forward, an event for young people and adults aged 14 + with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) on Friday 20 March from 9:30am - 3pm at the City of Portsmouth College Sixth Form Campus (Tangier Road).

Discover up to 40 exhibitors who will showcase training, employment, health and community services, helping families navigate their options in the city.

The event is designed to be inclusive and accessible for young people with varying levels of need, including those attending mainstream settings, special schools, or currently not in education.

There is plenty of parking located at the back of the site with volunteers on hand to direct you. Alternatively, you can catch the bus to the campus from the city centre.

For more information and to get your FREE ticket, visit www.portsmouthlocaloffer.org/movingforward

Well done Vicky!

Congratulations to our amazing Pre-School Manager Vicky for becoming a fully accredited Level 3 Forest School Leader.

Very well done to Vicky for all of her hard work, especially balancing training with being a busy mum and nanny as well as her full time role at The Stacey Pre-School - the only early years setting in Portsmouth fully accredited by the Forest School Association.

Amazing turnout for our spooky Halloween event

Despite the weather we handed out just under 150 Halloween treats!

Thank you for being brave enough to put your hand in our scary sensory cauldrons (kids and adults) or make a Franken-mallow.

We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Most importantly a HUGE thank you to our amazing volunteers who decorated, hosted and packed everything away again ready for next year.

We look forward to scaring everyone again next year.
