Live at the Bandstand

Live at the Bandstand Portsmouth City Council presents Live At The Bandstand - open air music on the Southsea bandstand site and on tour across the city.

With a fantastic line up for this summer the place to be on a sunny afternoon is the Bandstand. This is still one of the most popular FREE events in Portsmouth and enjoyed by all the family. So pack a picnic, blanket, chair and your sun cream and head down to Southsea. Not forgetting those all important dancing shoes for those of you who want to show off your best moves! oastal Defence works the Bandstand programme for 2022 is going on tour. Castle Fields will act as the primary venue for the shows. Free live music Saturday's and Sunday's starting 11th June - 24th September
Further details are available on www.visitportsmouth.co.uk. Live at the Bandstand is proudly supported by Victorious Festival who are sponsoring the shows for 2022.

Our prayers for sunshine have been answered and there's some real-life SUNSHINE forecast for this weekend! ☀️

The entire team is giddy with excitement and we can't wait to see you there - it's been way too long. However - public safety announcement as we don't want anyone melting - please wear your sunscreen and come prepared for a scorcher! 🌡️🥵

Creative Promotions will be warming up the stage for us from 1PM - 4PM THIS SATURDAY and then the official Live at the Bandstand 2026 season will be kicking off with The Wedgewood Rooms on SUNDAY.

There's a drinking water tap outside the toilet block in the D-Day car park (just over the hill from the seafront). Please help yourselves and don't hesitate to speak to our lovely team of security / first aiders if the heat is making you feel a bit wobbly.

On Sunday only we'll have our lovely local ice cream van onsite from 12:00, as well as our new friends Crumpy's Smoke Shack.

Portsmouth City Council is proud to invite residents to a special event celebrating the milestone of almost 100 community projects supported through the Community Inclusion Grant since its launch in 2022.

📅 Saturday 9th August
📍 Victoria Park, Portsmouth
🕚 11am – 3pm
🎟️ Free entry

This event will showcase some of the amazing work the Community Inclusion Grant and the recipients have done that challenge inequality, advance equity and celebrate diversity. Attendees can enjoy a variety of community-led stalls, local traders, and live performances.

Sunday 3rd August will be the last Live at the Bandstand of 2025 💔 Looking forward to seeing you for one last (hopefully sunny) afternoon of outdoor music - from 1PM - 4PM with ABH Promotions
