We have had an excellent 9 rounds in this series and thanks to all for supporting this inaugural series in memory of our past President. Reluctantly, however, the last round is cancelled due to tomorrow's forecast for persistent thunderstorms - clearly this would be manifestly unsafe for riders. The series winners will be based on the rounds undertaken to date: 3rd Cat Winner - Matthew Puddick (PNECC); E/1/2 Winner - Matthew Houlberg (Meudon Pedal Heaven Race Team).
It has been great to raise the profile of Mountbatten Track and to introduce first time racers to the facility, the events have been hugely competitive, especially the Youth format of a Scratch race followed immediately by a Points Race. It was always our aim to bring the local cycling community together at our local track and our heartfelt thanks to all that have supported this series: the riders; Club volunteers; Commissaire Officials; Alan Denman and the Project 51 team; Collingwood Medical and, most importantly Nopinz who have very generously supported this series with Jerseys and £100 vouchers for each category.
We look forward to organising more racing and events with local clubs and partners in 2023. If you'd like to be involved message us directly and we can keep you informed.
