Lighting up the north of Portsmouth since 2021, our Halloween and Christmas charity light show on Highbury Grove in Cosham features over 15,000 LED pixel lights synchronised to music. This is one of only a handful of computerised light shows to music in the South of England. As part of our light shows we raise money for a different local charity each year. Please ensure that children do not run ar

ound during the shows for their own safety and also out of consideration to our neighbours and others watching the show. Thank you.

✨ BIG ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

For the past few years, we have loved bringing the community together at our Cosham home in Highbury Grove for the Semmens Family Light Show. Thanks to your incredible support and generosity, our display has raised thousands of pounds for brilliant local causes.

Our choice of charity this year is deeply personal 🖤

Over the last few years our family has experienced the heartbreak of losing close family and friends to cancer and other life limiting and terminal illnesses.

During the toughest times towards the end of their journeys, the incredible team at Rowans Hospice stepped in to support some of those lost. The compassion, dignity, and specialist palliative care they provided is something we and others will never forget.

To say thank you, we are incredibly proud to announce that Rowans Hospice will be the official 2026 Charity of Choice for the Semmens Family Light Show 🌟

Like other charities we have supported previously, Rowans is a local independent charity that relies heavily on our community and donations to fund its vital, life-changing work. This year, every single penny dropped into our collection box or donated online will go directly to helping them care for other local families when they need it most.

We are already working behind the scenes to ensure our 2026 display shines brighter than ever.

How you can support us early:

Donate Online: If you would like to help us kickstart our 2026 fundraising total early, you can donate directly via our Rowans Hospice Donation Page.

Spread the Word: Please hit share on this post! Help us get the word out across Cosham and Portsmouth so we can make this our biggest fundraising year yet.

Keep your eyes on our page for schedule updates as we get closer to the autumn and winter seasons! Thank you all so much for your continued love and support. Let's do this for our loved ones, and for Rowans. 🕯️✨

We are so happy to have been able to support this wonderful charity over the last few months! 💚🩷

Thank you everyone for your continued support. It really means a lot 🥰

🎉 A huge shout-out to Kelly, Myles and Abbie from the Semmens Family Light Show!

We’d like to say a massive thank you for all their incredible support over the past few months. Night after night, they hosted a truly fabulous light show for both Halloween and Christmas, all to raise money for The Elizabeth Foundation.

Their brilliant displays brought the local community together raising an amazing £1,511.80 (including Gift Aid).

Our children, education team and staff thoroughly enjoyed the shows, and we are so thankful for the time, effort and dedication behind them, and for the generosity of all who supported and donated.

What has Gladiator FURY (aka Jodie Ounsley) and The Elizabeth Foundation 💚🩷 got in common?

Many of you have seen Gladiators on television and will therefore have heard of FURY, one of the female Gladiators!

What you may not know is that Jodie became profoundly deaf and had a cochlear implant as a toddler. As a child Jodie attended the Elizabeth Foundation who ‘kick-started’ her communication and speech with their language and speech therapy. Jodie is now one of the charities patrons and a passionate advocate for equality, disability rights, and inclusion.

Jodie's story is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved with determination and hard work. As she continues to break barriers, she also paves the way for future generations.

Your donations have tipped the £1,400 mark which is absolutely fantastic!

Around four babies are born deaf every day in the UK and early diagnosis is key. Being deaf can significantly affect a child's ability to communicate. However, with modern technology and appropriate intervention during their early years, most deaf children can, and do, learn to communicate clearly and effectively with spoken language.

Your generous donations to The Elizabeth Foundation will enable profoundly deaf children to develop their listening skills and natural speech so that they can join mainstream school at age 5 ready and able to learn alongside their hearing peers. This money will make a huge difference to the lives of the deaf children and their families who regularly attend the foundation.

Thank you once again for your support!

A bit of a WOW moment 😮 😮

A HUGE THANK YOU to the amazing team at Silver Lining Convergence in Whiteley for their very generous donation towards our fundraising total for The Elizabeth Foundation 💚🩷.

Each month all proceeds from their staff tuck shop go to a nominated charity, and we were very fortunate to be chosen as the recipient for their December donations 🥰.

We are soooo very close to reaching £1400 now. Let's have one final push to see if we can get there. Every single penny counts 🙏🏼.
