This coastline provides a perfect setting for sea swimming, cycling and running and you'd be mad to miss it!!

Hi Folks, hope everyone is well and coping with the current situation. As I'm sure you are all aware, Triathlon Ireland have cancelled all races to the end of June at the minute although I'm sure that will be extended. That obviously included the Causeway so I think it is unlikely to run this year and I can't see a possible date early September running either. For people that have entered you can contact TI and get a full refund. Next year will be bigger and better!!! Keep 'er lit shams!!!

Hi Folks. Sorry if I have been neglecting Facebook but I hate it so just ignore it most of the time. Just to confirm that this year's Causeway Triathlon Sprint Distance race will be happening on Sunday 28th June at 1000am. This is due to other races, salmon festivals, charity bike rides and general goings on during the month of June. This was the only day possible to avoid clashes. You could make a weekend of it and come down on the Friday 26th and enter Stevie McKenzies North Coast 10k running race, rest up on the Saturday and do the tri on the Sunday!!! You can enter online via Triathlon Ireland. Good One!!!

I am truly sorry to all the people who are disappointed about the change of format for this year's race and I thank you for all of your support over the years. However, there are a few folk out there whining and making comments behind a mobile phone and don't understand all the effort that goes into putting on a race. Getting marshals, getting entries, trying not to run a race out of pocket, getting police onboard...etc......so wind yer neck in!!😜 Something different for a year and I'm sure the Olympic will be back up and running again. I am still trying to pin down a date.

Hi Folks. Sorry I had to stop entries until I can clarify a date. It was due to 27th but I have been informed this week that there is going to be 1500 people out doing a sponsored cycle and walk along the bike route on that day so it's probably best not to have it then. It may be Sunday 28th. I know some folk have already entered so apologies if we need to change date but they will be refunded if they wish. There just seems to be so many things on in June around the Port.

I was premature (again), didn't realise Brown's Bay was on then. So we're looking at 27th June now as a date. Apologies to those who don't like the idea of a change in distance. This was for a number of reasons....
1. Financial - we lost money on last years race due to lower numbers. Sprints are a feasible distance for more people.
2. Due to compulsory event management plans which cost a substantial amount of money, if the run doesn't go on the road and stays on the beach, no event management required.
3. Changing things up now and again can be good.
4. Getting Marshalls is hard.

I welcome any comments or suggestions.

Hello Everyone!!! The Triangle Triathlon Club are pleased to announce that this year's event will be held on Saturday 6th June in good ould PORTMAGIC!!! It will be a slightly different format to other years in that this year will be a SPRINT distance race. Just a trial to try something different and see how it goes.

Entries are open on The Triathlon Ireland website.
