What an incredible day yesterday was, with our waters here at Weymouth and Portland delivering a fitting finale to what has been an incredible Championships.
Massive thanks must go to the Royal Yachting Association, Sport England, IQFOiL Class, Musto, MG, and all sponsors and stakeholders who’ve helped make this happen. Particular thanks must go to the army of volunteers that worked with the Sailing Academy staff to deliver this spectacular event. Finally, thanks must go to all the competitors that have travelled here from all around the world, and to everyone that has followed the action, either in person or via TV, YouTube or social media.

Here at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, work continues as we prepare to host more National Champs and Open Regattas before the season comes to an end, and then the development and improvement projects start though the winter while also supporting training events before we do it all over again next year!

Today is the day that the new World Champions will be crowned!

Activities will be taking place from 1000 in the Fan Zone at the Weymouth Pavilion, and live broadcasting of the Finals Series due to start at 1200.

After a superb day of racing yesterday, here's the current standings as we go into Day 2 of the Musto IQFOiL Class World Champs...

Racing has been delayed until after 1400 today to let the wind fill in properly as forecast, again with courses in the Bay and the Harbour.

From Thursday, there'll be live broadcasts of the racing on YouTube (we'll share the link later in the week), and we'll be showing this in the Twenty12 Cafe and on the big screen in our Spinnakers Bar, upstairs at the Academy.😎
