Unfortunately the weather isn't playing ball this weekend, so the CPGA have had to cancel Saturday's Grand Prix.🥲

Our Twenty12 Cafe will still be open, and there's some super cafe discounts to be had😎

🚨 Mixed Grand Prix Cancellation - Saturday 6th June 🚨

Following a review of the latest weather forecasts, the difficult decision has been taken to cancel the Mixed Grand Prix.

Forecast conditions indicate strong winds, significant gusts and challenging sea states that would impact the safe delivery of the event.

We appreciate the disappointment this will cause and thank all clubs, competitors, officials and volunteers for their understanding and support.

Today, we remember Bart.

Thirteen years on, Bart’s spirit still runs through everything we do at the Andrew Simpson Foundation.

He believed in people, in the power of the water to change lives, and in making sailing something that everyone should have the chance to experience.

Every day, we see that legacy living on:
🔹 Helping more young people get on the water
🔹 Building confidence, skills and opportunities
🔹 Bringing people and communities together
🔹 Encouraging care for the world around us

What started in Bart’s memory has become something much bigger, thanks to the people, partners and communities who continue to be part of the journey with us.

Together, we’ll keep creating opportunities for the next generation.

The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy is a not-for-profit organisation, that's fully self-funding (no grants or lottery money etc), so every penny made goes back into supporting jobs on Portland, maintaining this world-class competition venue, and enabling the many groups and charities that use our facilities.❤️
