Breathe easier, move better 💙
Today is World Asthma Day — a reminder of how important it is to understand and manage your breathing, especially when staying active.
Asthma doesn’t have to stop you from moving well or living fully. With the right guidance, exercise can actually improve lung function, reduce symptoms, and boost confidence.
Here are a few simple tips:
• Warm up gradually before activity
• Focus on controlled breathing techniques
• Know your triggers and plan ahead
• Don’t skip your prescribed medication

As physios, we’re here to help you find safe, effective ways to stay active and in control of your breathing.

If you or someone you know struggles with asthma and exercise, feel free to reach out — support makes all the difference.

April Recap 🌿

A strong month for the clinic and the wider team:

• Completed the 4th half marathon out of 12 in the year’s challenge 🏃‍♂️
• Cricket season kicked off, bringing in a wave of new clients and fresh energy to rehab programs 🏏
• Focused behind the scenes on budgeting and preparing for tax return season, keeping the business on track 📊
• Enjoyed the return of sunshine, longer days, and the start of golf season ⛳️

A balanced month of performance, planning, and enjoying the season shift. Looking forward to building on this momentum into May.

Ever watched the London Marathon and suddenly felt like… maybe I could be a runner? 🏃‍♂️✨

You’re not alone. Every year, thousands catch the “running bug” after seeing the incredible atmosphere, determination, and finish-line moments. And honestly? It’s a great thing.

But here’s your physio reminder: motivation is high, tissues are not quite there yet 😅

If you’re just starting out:
👟 Build gradually – your body adapts slower than your enthusiasm
📅 Aim for consistency over intensity
💪 Strength train (yes, runners need it too)
🛑 Niggles aren’t “normal” – they’re early warning signs

Running is one of the most accessible ways to move your body, boost your mood, and challenge yourself—but staying injury-free is what keeps it enjoyable.

So if the marathon has inspired you, go for it. Just start smart, not fast.

And if you’re not sure where to begin, that’s what we’re here for 👋

March recap 🌱✨
Stepping into April feeling grounded, grateful, and focused.
March brought a wave of new clients — each one a reminder that growth comes from showing up consistently and trusting the process. I’m so thankful for the positive feedback this month; it never goes unnoticed and always fuels me to keep improving.
There’s also been a lot of self-reflection behind the scenes — refining my approach, realigning my goals, and making space for what truly matters moving forward.
A big step this month was renewing my professional fees — an investment in myself and the standards I’m committed to upholding.
And on the personal side… marathon 3 of 12 for 2026 ✅🏃‍♂️ Progress isn’t always loud, but it’s always happening.
April, I’m ready for you. Let’s build, elevate, and keep moving forward 🚀

💐 Mother’s Day Reminder: Don’t Forget About Your Pelvic Floor 💐
Mums do so much for everyone around them — but your health matters too.
Pregnancy, childbirth, and the demands of everyday life can place a lot of stress on the pelvic floor, sometimes leading to symptoms like bladder leaks, heaviness, or reduced core strength.
This Mother’s Day, take a moment to prioritise your recovery and wellbeing. Pelvic health physiotherapy can help you:
✨ Strengthen and retrain your pelvic floor
✨ Improve bladder control
✨ Support your core and posture
✨ Return to exercise with confidence
Looking after your pelvic health is an important part of looking after you.
💙 This Mother’s Day, give yourself the gift of feeling stronger and supported.

💐 Mother’s Day & Working Moms Day are in the same week! 💐
This week is all about celebrating the incredible women who do it all — caring for families, managing careers, and somehow still keeping everything moving. 💪
Forget the flowers this year, give something that lasts. Why not treat a special mum (or yourself!) to something that truly supports their wellbeing?
✨ A physiotherapy or sports massage session can help with:
• Neck and shoulder tension
• Back pain from long workdays or lifting little ones
• Postural strain from desk work
• Stress-related muscle tightness
• Getting back to feeling strong and comfortable in their body
Mums spend so much time taking care of everyone else — this week is the perfect time to help them take care of themselves too. 💙
📅 Book a physiotherapy appointment and give the gift of feeling better, moving better, and taking a well-deserved moment to recharge.
