It all started after an inspirational trip to America, when Rob and Heather came home with an idea. What if we brought pumpkin picking to Yorkshire?
And so, 20 years ago, Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival was born, the UK’s original Pumpkin Festival 🎃
Back then, none of us could have imagined quite what it would become. Year after year it’s grown, changed and evolved, but the reason we do it has always stayed exactly the same.
The memories 🧡
The tiny hands choosing a pumpkin that’s almost bigger than they are. The annual photo in the same spot. The muddy wellies. The grandparents, parents and children coming together. The first visits that somehow turn into family traditions year after year 🍂
Looking back through these photographs has made us realise just how many special moments have happened in these fields over the past two decades, and we know there must be thousands more sitting in your camera rolls, old phones and family photo albums 🥹
