October 2021 will mark the 10 year anniversary of the passing of OPM Rugby's former chairman, player and dear friend Simon Adams. Simon was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2009, within the first week of he shocking news, he had made a bucket list and was determined to enjoy every day that he had left. One of Simon's aims was to raise awareness of MND but also ÂŁ1 Million to help fund vital
research so that one day in the not too distance future, the words "you have Motor Neurone Disease" will be followed by "it is curable". To mark the 10 years since Simon lost his life through MND, Mark and Matt will be undertaking a North to South cycle ride to raise money towards Simon's target. Our cycle ride will see us covering approx. 850 miles in 12 days visiting all 12 Premiership Rugby Clubs on our way down to Plymouth, as well as stopping in on Simon's two other community clubs, Southam RUFC and Windsor RFC. Our hope is that we can raise ÂŁ15,000 towards Simon's total and to help fund research in to finding a cure for MND.
