Why train with us at Budo Society Musashi?
More than classes – real time to learn
Alongside regular weekly training, we offer a monthly 4-hour Saturday training session. These extended sessions give students the rare opportunity to slow down and truly understand what they are doing.
During these sessions, students can:
• Train without rushing or pressure
• Ask questions and receive detailed explanations
• Practise techniques safely with close supervision
• Deepen their understanding of principles that take time to absorb
This dedicated training time is one of the key reasons our students progress with clarity, confidence, and control.
Experience you can trust
Training is guided by over 50 years of personal martial arts experience and more than 35 years of teaching. This depth ensures instruction is based on proven principles, not trends or shortcuts.
Proven real-world self-defence
For 22 years, our self-defence instruction has been trusted by the Royan Navy. What we teach is practical, efficient, and grounded in real-world application.
Small classes – personal instruction
We deliberately keep classes small, so every student receives:
• Individual attention
• Corrections adapted to their body and ability
• Safe, structured progress at their own pace
No one is overlooked, and progress is built properly.
A complete and integrated martial system
Our training combines:
• Aikido – balance, movement, control, and calm under pressure
• Aiki Jujitsu – direct and effective techniques for realistic self-defence
• Kyusho Jitsu – the study of the body’s vital points, using precision and correct timing rather than strength
• Weapons training – developing distance, posture, focus, timing, and awareness
Kyusho Jitsu enhances all techniques by teaching how the body reacts to correct angle, direction, and timing of force. This allows students of any size or age to train effectively and responsibly.
Training for life
Our approach develops confidence, coordination, awareness, discipline, and mental calm. Training is serious but welcoming, with respect and responsibility at its core.
We welcome new students from age 14.
