Strange Days 2026 presents: HENGE

"Attention Humans! This is HENGE.

We are not from this world.

We bring you music from distant planets.

We offer this gift for the edification of humankind… so that eventually your species may put an end to war and set up new homes in space.

We just had to have them back for Volume 2! Extra-terrestrial joymongers – HENGE – have been delighting audiences in the UK and Europe since they landed on Planet Earth seven years ago. Their scintillating live performances earned them ‘Best Live Act’ at the Independent Festival Awards and they have since cemented their reputation with two acclaimed albums, numerous tours and regular main-stage festival appearances.

Their music escapes definition, but occupies a space between rave and prog rock that nobody knew existed. It is energetic, subversive and invigoratingly playful, jovially going ‘where no one has gone before’. Ultimately, HENGE are spreading a message of hope which leaves audiences feeling amused and uplifted in equal measures."

Strange Days 2026 presents: STU NEVILLE AND RUTH MORRIS - FORTEAN TIMES

"Stu and Ruth Neville are regular contributors to the Fortean Times and co-write the magazine’s monthly television column as well as other reviews and articles, and are just finalising getting around to properly starting their long-anticipated move into multi-media, The Struth Is Out There. They are into all branches of the fortean tree, but have a special affection for obscure TV, poltergeists and Bigfootery."

SUBJECT - LURKING BEHIND THE SCREEN…

SYNOPSIS: "Stu and Ruth look back at nearly 60 years of television weirdness and how the mainstream treatment, both documentary and dramatic, of the Fortean has in turn fed into popular culture, and how popular culture has sometimes bitten back… from The Stone Tape to Sapphire & Steel by way of Arthur C Clarke and Strange But True they show how the line between Fortean televisual fact, fallacy and fiction is often blurrier than a bigfoot photo."

In this he sweeps away the lies to tell a new origin story of the world's first modern yogi – a Californian escapologist who added some Hindu fairy dust to gym and circus exercises. Ever since the world of yoga has been full of grifters, occultists and white supremacists, all out to exploit and recruit via the medium of exercise.

Strange Days 2026 presents: ANDREW O’NEILL

"Andrew O'Neill is an award-winning comedian, musician and best-selling writer. A psychedelic non-binary whirlwind, they combine surrealism, polemic and good old-fashioned stagecraft to produce uniquely counter-cultural stand-up.

They have acted opposite John Hamm and David Tennant in Good Omens, Steve Coogan in Saxondale and Tom Burke and Ellie Bamber in Alan Moore’s film The Show.

Andrew has performed in over a dozen different countries, at over a hundred different festivals and is equally at home in rowdy comedy clubs as performing to their own cult following.

They co-wrote and starred in Radio 4’s occult sitcom Damned Andrew.
They are author of the book A History Of Heavy Metal, described by living legend Alan Moore as "a comprehensive landmark analysis of an enormous area of music that has been too long without such a thing, and has the massive advantage of the funny being turned up to twelve. A loud and thoroughly engrossing love-story."

TV credits include Good Omens 2, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Saxondale, 50 Years Of Rock Excess, The Blame Game, Spicks and Specks and Good News Week. Their own Radio 4 stand-up show Pharmacist Baffler won an award. A natural fit at music festivals, they have performed stand-up at Glastonbury, Download, Leeds and Reading, Bloodstock, Latitude, V-Fest and supported Amanda Palmer, Les Claypool and once even the Kaiser Chiefs at the London Palladium.

They are a founder member of the Victorian-obsessed punk band The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing, whose distinctive anachro-punk gained a cult following and besmirched the stages of music festivals worldwide.

O'Neill has written and toured a sh*t-tonne of critically-acclaimed solo comedy shows, including Occult Comedian, Winston Churchill Was Jack The Ripper, MINDSPIDERS, Alternative, early AHDH show Andrew O'Neill is Easily Distracted, Andrew O'Neill's Black Magick Fun Hour and the critically-acclaimed GEBURAH."

Strange Days 2026 presents: Dom Joly

"Comedian, writer, and broadcaster, Dom has also developed a parallel career exploring unexplained events and conspiracies in the tradition of Charles Fort.

Aside from the iconic Trigger Happy TV, Dom has travelled widely investigating UFO sightings, conspiracy theories, supernatural folklore, and cryptozoology—the search for hidden or unknown animals such as Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster. His fascination with cryptids is explored in his book Scary Monsters and Super Creeps: In Search of the World's Most Hideous Beasts, which follows his global search for legendary creatures and was inspired by a childhood love of Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World.

These interests also underpin works like The Dark Tourist and The Conspiracy Tourist, where he immerses himself in unusual places and subcultures, mashing up his trademark humour with genuine curiosity. His recent live show The Conspiracy Tour continued in the Fortean vein, combining scepticism with open-minded engagement, he has done his bit to bring topics like cryptozoology and the fringe beliefs into mainstream discussion, thereby making him an obvious headliner choice for Strange Days 2026!"

Strange Days 2026 presents: RYAN “RPG” GOLEMBESKE – BIGFOOT RESEARCHER

We are delighted to be hosting Ryan Golembeske at this year’s Strange Days; flying in from the USA, Ryan is a high profile researcher and media personality specializing in Bigfoot, cryptids, and paranormal phenomena. He’s well known in the field - being part of the team for TV’s “Expedition Bigfoot”, and most recently teaming up with fellow SD guest Daniel Lee Barnett for the film “My Bigfoot Life”.

With a lifelong fascination for the unexplained, he has dedicated years to investigating mysterious creatures and strange occurrences, particularly the legend of Bigfoot. His work combines traditional field investigation techniques with modern technology, helping him gather evidence and insights into elusive paranormal subjects.

Over the course of his career, Ryan has taken part in numerous expeditions and investigations in areas associated with Bigfoot sightings and other unexplained activity. His research often includes interviewing eyewitnesses, examining physical evidence, and documenting potential encounters in the field. His enthusiastic and open-minded approach has earned him recognition within the cryptozoology and paranormal communities.

Ryan’s larger-than-life persona and depth of knowledge have made him a sought-after guest on television programs, multiple documentaries, podcasts, and at live events, where he shares his experiences and discusses his research. Through both his media work and public appearances, he has helped bring wider attention to the mysteries of cryptids and the paranormal, while continuing to collaborate with fellow researchers and enthusiasts in the search for answers."

Strange Days 2026 presents DANIEL LEE BARNETT - CRYPTOZOOLOGIST:

"Daniel Lee Barnett is a dynamic young Bigfoot researcher, filmmaker and cryptozoology enthusiast whose passion for unexplained creatures has made him one of the UK’s most recognisable young voices in Fortean investigation. Based in Somerset, Daniel developed a fascination with Bigfoot and other cryptids early on - inspired by the exploits of North American Sasquatch seekers he initially settled for exploring local woodlands with his grandparents, his ever-supportive family had no idea that this would eventually lead him all the way to the USA to join the very investigators that inspired his early ambitions. Despite facing challenges associated with autism and selective mutism in childhood, he has gone on to become a confident public speaker, podcaster and investigator, using his love of nature and mystery as a way to connect with others.

Daniel co-directed and wrote the 2026 documentary film “My Bigfoot Life”, an uplifting and deeply personal film charting his journey into the world of cryptozoology. The documentary follows his investigations into Bigfoot sightings, his travels to meet researchers and scientists, and the support of his family throughout his adventures. The film explores how curiosity, determination and imagination helped him overcome personal obstacles and become part of a global community of fellow enthusiasts.

Through the film and his wider work, Daniel has collaborated with leading American Bigfoot investigators and has become firm friends with Ryan Golembeske, known to many viewers as “RPG” from the TV series Expedition Bigfoot, who will be joining Daniel for their talk at Strange Days 2026. Together they have taken part in field investigations and public events exploring reports of Sasquatch and other mysterious creatures, helping bring cryptozoology to a new generation of enthusiasts on both sides of the Atlantic. When he’s not out in the forest, Daniel can often be found hosting his popular Mythical Legends Expedition & Podcast."

Strange Days 2026 presents PAUL A.T. WILSON – AUTHOR AND FOLKLORIST:

SUBJECT – SAM THE SANDOWN CLOWN

"Paul A.T. Wilson is one of the main modern researchers keeping the Sam the Sandown Clown story alive and relevant. He has spent years investigating the original 1973 case on the Isle of Wight, collecting documents, witness statements, local testimony, artwork, and folklore connected to the encounter. In recent years he’s given talks and presentations called “The Sandown Clown (Declassified)” where he presents newly uncovered material about the case.

Paul traced and spoke to someone who claimed to one of the original child witnesses (“Fay”). She provided further recollections and drawings connected to Sam that will be shown and made available exclusively at Strange Days. Paul will be presenting the unedited account, using the words of "Fay" as well as previously unreleased accounts by her father. He will go through similar cases that pre-date Sam and more modern accounts too.

“Sam the Sandown Clown” is considered one of Britain’s strangest Forteanian encounters; part UFO story, part ghost story, part cryptid experience;
In May 1973, two children on the Isle of Wight claimed they encountered a bizarre figure near Sandown Airport. The being was described as around seven feet tall, dressed like a clown with a pointed hat, triangular markings on its face.
"...Hello… and I am all colours Sam..."

First published in the "Official U.F.O" magazine in 1977 and later picked up by Norman Oliver in BUFORA, the story has captured the imagination of researchers and member of the public alike. Sam has become an emblem of non-conformity, mystery and the inclusive nature of folklore and urban legends.
So join Paul at his LAST EVER lecture on this fascinating topic as we explore accounts, theories and where do we go from here? The story of All Colours Sam It remains one of the most unique cases in UK paranormal history."
