Shared post Durham County Council

Peterlee East has been selected as part of the government's Pride in Place Programme that will see up to £20 million of investment and support over the next 10 years (from 2026) to Peterlee East to make long term improvements.

The area that the Pride in Place Programme covers is directly next to the smaller Strategic Place Plan area for Peterlee town centre.

We recently asked you about your thoughts on Peterlee town centre to help us develop a plan for investment over the next 10 years as part of the Peterlee Strategic Place Plan.

We want to know from you if what you told us about Peterlee town centre is:
- Specific to the town centre
- Applies to other parts of Peterlee East area, or
- If there are other things missing about the strengths, challenges and opportunities that you would like to tell us about.

We had an incredible day at Woodhouse Park Fun Day!

Around 5,000 members of the public attended, making it one of our biggest and best events yet! 🙌🔥 Thank you to everyone who came along, joined in the fun, and helped create such an amazing atmosphere.
