OFFICIAL UKFL RULE CHANGE
The Committee proposed this change to move the focus of singles to consistency as opposed to simple speed and to keep racing fair. There have been incidents where a dog raced the 8 heats, failed to complete 7 of them but on their only clean, successful run pulled out an incredible time thus winning their division against a dog who may have raced and completed 8 clean heats but was just slightly slower and the Committee felt this was unfair.
The change will move to ensure the winner of a League Singles / Pairs / Mini Maxi division will be the dog/s that achieved the most clean runs. Where there is a tie for clean runs completed, they will then be seperated by fastest time.
When A races B and both dogs complete clean they will both be awarded a WIN.
Re-Runs will only be allowed to correct a dog fault. Any re-run will however be recorded as a NT LOSS.
The false start rule remains the same.
Fastest Singles times for each dog will still be recorded on the UKFL Singles List, with the usual fastest for each individual breed highlighted and recognised as normal.
