The Glorious Twelfth has arrived, bringing renewed hope to Scotland’s moors after two challenging seasons.

It is a day shaped by more than tradition. It reflects months of work in all weathers, the commitment of those who care for the land and the importance of the season to rural communities across Scotland.

There are encouraging signs this year, offering a welcome lift to gamekeepers, local businesses and everyone whose livelihood is connected to the moors.

Today, we recognise that dedication and look forward with hope to the season ahead.
