🚨 Kernowman Returns - 30th May, save the date 🚨

After it's inaugural race in 2025, Kernowman (Marazion Triathlon) is one of the largest 70.3s in the South West already, selling out twice! (As well as actually putting on a swim, iykyk)
We're hoping to make this bigger and better in 2026, increasing the entry capacity.

We've listened to feedback from this year's race and will make a few improvements to hopefully make the day more enjoyable for everyone. Marazion town council are in full support of the event, approving the use of a road closure in the town centre to limit interactions with cars on the narrow road (pending County Council approval). We're also including an earlier start time to minimise traffic on the roads, giving you more room to race.

Entries aren't currently open while we 'dot the I's and cross the T's' but will be open very soon. Register your interest for 2026 and be notified when entries open by signing up via the website. You'll also receive a small discount to use for being an early supporter of the race.

Massive thank you the water safety team for keeping competitors safe in the water!!!!

Our incredible 2025 Perranporth Surf Triathlon water safety team.

1 safety person to 4 swimmers in the main Olympic race we think is pretty outstanding cover, honed from 32 years of making Triathlon safe.

Thanks to everyone that took part in today’s 33rd Perranporth Triathlon!!! The rain was relentless but it didn’t dampen your spirits one bit!!! You were all epic!! An incredible first event back after the extended break!
We’d like to thank everyone that helped us make today a reality, including: Kier Group PLC , GAP Hire Solutions for providing the fencing equipment and signs; Tunes in the Dunes for the loan of the tents; At Home Cornwall, SNUGG WETSUITS, NEWQUAY. and Bathsheba Surf for providing the prizes; and Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm for the delicious samples!

intoTRI , our specialist event partners who have been a pleasure to work with!! Perranzabuloe Parish Council and Garden Charities for getting behind the return of the event; and a massive shout out to Community Lifesaving (Portreath to Holywell Bay) RNLI for support with extra water cover craft and personnel. Coastal Roots Community, Omega Medical, Millstone Sound, The Waterfront, Chapmans Family Butchers and Booker, Newquay. for their help and support too.

Above all sincere thanks to our club members, the amazing set up crew, incredible catering team, our charismatic commentators, the water safety crew, our in-house DJ, our finish line helpers, and to Perranzabuloe Community, who stepped up to marshall and help put our Triathlon back on the map. And all despite the rain!!! You’ve all been amazing!!!

Perranporth Triathlon 2025

The first race back for one of the UK's oldest and most famous events and didn't we have gorgeous weather to celebrate it!
(For anyone not there, no we did not, there were sightings of Noah going past in his Ark)

A huge thanks to all of the marshals from for their willingness to support the race despite the downpour!
We hope all athletes enjoyed it, despite the conditions, luckily the sea was kind to us.

Worried about the big surf? Practice in waves is definitely advised but Perranporth Surf Life Saving Club will be on hand to keep you safe in the water and ensure you have a good time.

Only 3 weeks to go until spectators get to cheers on the amazing triathletes that take on Perranporth’s 33rd Triathlon.. the relief at finishing the swim is written all over each competitor’s face, as their feet touch solid ground and they know the swim is done!! Next it’s time to remind their legs how to run as they race to the transition area to take on the bike leg!!

Is there such a thing as too hot!!!🥵
I know we are all enjoying this lovely weather, but would you believe that there is such a thing as too much sunshine!!
When it comes to race day, some of us would rather the sun isn’t shining too brightly.
Although lovely for the swim and not too bad on the bike, (if accompanied by a favourable breeze), on a punishing run it can make things tougher than they already are!
If you are one of the many that have already entered, hopefully you are all well and truly into your training.
If you haven’t yet committed to joining us in Perranporth on race day, don’t leave it too long.
We’ve not put this event on for a few years and now that we’re back it’s looking to be as popular as it ever was!! So don’t leave it too late to secure your place on the start line!! Entries are through our event partner’s, IntoTRI’s, website, link in bio.
