Potfest on tour - Gmunden 2026.

We were honoured to be asked to be the guest country/organisation at Gmunden City of Ceramics last weekend. 6 of our regular exhibitors made the 1500km journey to what has to be, one of the most beautiful settings for a ceramics market anywhere in Europe.

Pre Brexit, we were fortunate enough to enjoy free and easy movement between the UK and mainland Europe with goods as artisan makers. This meant that we were regularly able to offer exchanges and reciprocal agreements with other, overseas markets. As travel with goods begins to become easier once more, hopefully we will once again begin to see “guest countries” return to Potfest events.

A huge thank you to Eva and her team in Gmunden for the invitation and hospitality. We look forward to welcoming you and an Austrian contingent in the near future 🙏

Another super day at Potfest Suffolk - Haughley Park. No hot and stuffy marquees here, the sides of the tents are left open to create shade and allow the breeze cool everything down.

Lots of wonderful work from our 100 exhibiting ceramics artists and pottery makers. Plenty of space to enjoy a picnic in the shade of ancient oaks and horse chestnut trees. Bring a blanket and find somewhere to stretch out, taking in the art and beautiful surroundings while listening to the amazing, sole bay strings quartet in the background.

Final day of the show tomorrow and I can guarantee that you won’t find a more enjoyable way to spend your Sunday.
